GBBN Architects is proud to announce that firm principal, Matthew J. Schottelkotte, AIA, LEED AP, has been named its Director of Architecture.
“Three years ago we set out to design the firm of the future, and created a very important position – the Director of Architecture,” said Bob Gramann, firm President and CEO. As the job description was being tooled, the following qualities were deemed an absolute: a good listener, leader, teacher, mentor and coach, melded with an intense passion for design.
“It was determined that the main focus of the person in the Director position would be project delivery, while supporting and improving the work of others.” Gramann added, “I am confident that Matthew is the right person for what we consider to be the final key piece of our phase two organization.”
Matthew is a graduate of UC’s DAAP, and joined GBBN in 1995. He was named Partner in 2000. His experience includes being a successful project manager, designer, manager and client manager on a number of the firm’s high-profile projects over the years.
