The year 2008 promises to be a BIG one for GBBN Architects. The Cincinnati-based firm with offices in Lexington (KY) and Beijing, is celebrating its 50th anniversary and has all kinds of things planned for the milestone year including a number of events.
In an effort to give back to the profession, our clients and consultants, GBBN will be hosting an AIA event at the Contemporary Arts Center later this spring, in addition to the BIG celebration on May 1st in Cincinnati, and another BIG party for our Lexington-based clients and consultants sometime later in the summer. A number of client outings are also planned throughout the year in addition to special philanthropic opportunities such as the FineArtsFund, CANstruction and the United Way.
"We are thrilled to be celebrating 50 years, and want friends, clients (both current and past), consultants, project team members, families and friends to stop in and share in the festivitives," said Bob Gramann, firm president and CEO. "We've got a lot to celebrate, and want to include as many people as possible." He added, "Fifty years is a long time to be in this business, and we couldn't have done it without the support and teamwork of so many."
Back in 1958, the firm of Gartner, Burdick, Bauer-Nielsen opened its doors in nearby Mt. Lookout Square. "We're very proud of the work we've done and the culture we've established," said Gramann. "We're celebrating the past 50 years, and looking forward to the growth of the firm for the next 50!"
