Meet Gary Rahn, Director of in4mation, a division of GBBN Architects. Since joining the firm in 2001 and being named Partner in 2005, Gary has guided and expanded the in4 team and the services it provides to its clients.
What is in4 and who are it's clients?
in4 focuses its services on the use of facility information management systems directly for its clients, as well as for GBBN's project teams. Current projects involve documenting how square footage is being utilized at the University of Dayton, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and Kettering Hospitals; capturing the equipment being installed in the new schools being built for Cincinnati Public Schools and developing a maintenance business plan that will be managed by the facility information system installed by in4; and using its proven technology to support the strategic space planning efforts associated with the development of the new bed tower at the University of Kentucky.
What are your goals for the firm?
As Director of Operations for the GBBN, Gary is also facilitating our efforts to build the organization that will lead the firm into the future. He has a business administration background, and includes on his list of goals to create the infrastructure necessary to support the firm’s planned growth.
What is your personal mantra?
Every team member holds the key to organizational excellence. Our personal goal should be to understand the other person’s perspective and strive to improve the process by exceeding expectations.
Gary is a member of the Wyoming Historical Society and he and his wife have a personal interest in historical structures, an interest that has been imparted to their daughter who is a fourth year architecture student at the University of Cincinnati. Their son will be a freshman in the fall at The Ohio State University.
