GBBN Brings Home CANstruction 2012 Honors

Canstruction is an international community service project developed to shed light on the issues surrounding hunger and to benefit community food banks. Teams from the design and construction industry build entries out of cans to later be distributed to local food banks

Congratulations to Team GBBN - one of nine local design, architecture, construction and engineering firms participating - who brought home Jurors’ Favorite honors from the 15th Annual Canstruction art competition.

GBBN’s “It’s Kool to Aid Hunger” made up of 5,289 items also earned this year’s “CAN Spirit Award”.

In all, over 47,000 cans were donated to the Freestore Foodbank, including the items used in the various sculptures and donated duirng a food drive competition between non-participating firms throughout the Queen City.
