GBBN Names New Associate Principals and Associates
CINCINNATI—At their 2017 end of year celebration on November 15, GBBN Architects named two new Associate Principals and three new Associates in recognition of their leadership in advancing the work and profile of the firm.
Mark K. Lee and Jennifer Sebranek were named Associate Principals. Associate Principals are recognized for their demonstrated ability to go beyond their firm or project role and provide leadership in the strategic advancement of the company. They are recognized for skillfully leading teams and change, managing conflict, and communicating with impact.
Mark K. Lee, AIA LEED AP is a senior project architect who continuously works to advance technical mastery in project delivery. He is a skillful and compassionate leader of teams who creates repeatable methods to ensure coaching, mentoring, and professional growth. As a leader of Building Systems, he balances cost, performance, aesthetics, off-site construction options, digital fabrication, and regional material considerations.
Jennifer Sebranek oversees GBBN’s marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives across all markets. Jennifer is a flexible and patient consensus builder who works with her team, firm leadership, and GBBN’s growing workforce in the United States and China to ensure the firm’s rich, diverse voices share an authentic and cohesive brand message.
Nick Cates, Brad Conner, and Beth Latto were named Associates, in recognition of their exceptional job skills, creative problem-solving, and success in leading both internal teams and clients.
As a senior project architect, Nick Cates, AIA, LEED AP has established himself and GBBN as a trusted partner in one of the most significant projects for the city and the region: the Cincinnati Union Terminal Restoration and Renovation. Nick sets clear expectations for both internal and external teams and leads by example through his care and enthusiasm for detail and craft at all scales.
As GBBN’s Chief Financial Officer, Brad Conner is responsible for the firm’s fiscal management in both the United States and China. He prioritizes accountability for himself and his team and is driven to constantly develop and improve accounting expertise and techniques. GBBN’s robust financial health is a direct result of Brad’s firm, yet always courteous stewardship and his ability to productively engage internal teams and external partners.
Interior Designer Beth Latto, NCDIQ, LEED AP ID+C is a demonstrated leader in the radical act of listening. She believes that by listening, observing, and understanding, she can best help her clients and her team achieve their goals. Her ability to empathize and balance multiple viewpoints has advanced and improved GBBN’s collective work.
