Leadership Cincinnati USA Class 35 Includes GBBN's Schottelkotte
Matthew J. Schottelkotte, AIA, LEED AP, and chief executive officer with GBBN Architects, has been selected to be a member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's Leadership Program. A 10-month program, Leadership Cincinnati is considered the preeminent leadership development program in Cincinnati, providing participants a broad view of civic leadership through direct contact with a wide variety of institutions and people.
This year's class is made up for 54 men and women who represent a cross section of the community and represent the region's top levels of leadership. The program focuses on creating a regional culture of innovation in the areas of education, economic development, inclusion, justice, arts and culture, healthcare, human services and sustainability.
"What separates this from general leadership training is the high level of commitment to civic leadership in the greater Cincinnati region" says Schottelkotte.
The goal of Leadership Cincinnati is to prepare those who are already leaders in their professions and companies for more active involvement in public affairs. According to Dan Hurley, director of Leadership Cincinnati, this year's class is a great mix of individuals representing the region's largest corporations, as well as local nonprofits, and everything in between.
" It is amazing to consider the special energy and commitment to our region of the people in this Class. The experience of working with emerging leaders from such diverse professional backgrounds, learning from them and creating contacts to be used to influence change is an important motivator for being part of Leadership Cincinnati."
Matthew joined GBBN in 1995, and has been integrally involved in the firm's project designs and overall business development success. As CEO, his focus is on setting strategy and vision, building culture, professional development of staff and operational efficiency.
