Past Relationship Results In Historic Renovation of Bailey & Glasser

In beautiful, historic Charleston (WV), the law firm of Bailey & Glasser occupies what once was a vacant building open to the elements for nearly 20 years.  Experiencing growth, this national practice has now added two locations and has expanded significantly in downtown Charleston. This adaptive reuse of the landmark built in the early 1900s allowed Bailey & Glasser to maintain it presence on historic Capitol Street, enhanced by new technology and efficiently designed space and systems for the law firm of the future.

GBBN in collaboration with Prayworks, teamed up to help Bailey & Glasser realize their vision through a thoughtful historic renovation, coupled with a sophisticated, sustainable and technological cutting edge interior design. Historic tax credits were an integral part of the financial strategy.

In addition to historic renovations and new construction, GBBN provided tenant improvements for the 30,000 sf structure. Maximizing daylight through the addition of windows, clerestories and borrowed light, was a key factor in enhancing the work environment. LEED principles of design were applied throughout all phases of the project.

GBBN and Prayworks have a history of successful collaboration having worked together on the 200,000 sf resort condominium lodge, Soaring Eagle Lodge located in Snowshoe Mountain (WV).
