Hamilton County Department of County Facilities is constantly required to re-evaluate its use of space and the efforts required to manage it. County Facilities has teamed with in4mation to manage the inventory of county buildings, garages, and maintenance facilities.

Needs
  • Track tenant occupancy & property abstract information in real time
  • Provide efficient access to space information
  • Manage inventory of county buildings, garages, and maintenance facilities
  • Allow access to existing inventory of AutoCAD drawings

Solution

in4mation managed the migration of its original CAFM implementation to ARCHIBUS/ FM. Part of the upgrade was the implementation of iFM, a web interface, making space information available via a secure website. The combination of ARCHIBUS/FM and iFM has supported:
  • Improved tracking of organizational space utilization, now capturing data* for over 130 buildings and over 14,000 rooms across the County
  • Functional programming and intuitive solutions to capture additional facility related data
  • A foundation for the growth of additional facility information processes, now capturing Building Operations, Key and Fleet asset tracking, Capital Projects and Record Inventory management
  • Easy access for management reporting, planning, and maintenance through a secured website

* BOMA Standard Rentable Area Measurements are applied to all buildings, tracking areas to the workstation level
