With corporate offices in downtown Cincinnati and field offices located around the country, Great American Insurance was challenged with proper identification and accounting of its space.

Solution

in4mation implemented the ARCHIBUS/FM Space Management module for improved tracking of space utilization across the organization. The in4mation team:

  • Configured project and established standards to inventory space data, which included capturing department, division, room name, room number, room type, and room categorization for each space in the corporate facility.
  • Trained the Great American Insurance team to maintain the system.
  • Provided technical support.

Great American Insurance has subsequently added to the inventory of buildings, bringing the total to over 94 buildings and field offices around the country encompassing 1.6 million square feet.  Great American was able to identify vacan space, consolidate and exercise early lease terminations, saving over $400,000 within the first year.
