GBBN Architects (Architect of Record) is teamed with 360 Architecture, formerly Heinlein Schrock Architecture (Design Architect) on the New Ice Arena and Parking Structure. The proposed arena is planned to include two ice sheets consistent with NHL dimensions, and be flexible enough in plan to be used for other Miami University functions. An arena bowl is envisioned to be developed around one of the ice sheets and have a capacity of 3,000 fixed stadium-style seats, 200 Club seats, 40 private box seats, and accommodate approximately 500 standing room locations at both Event and Concourse Levels. A third recreation ice sheet is desirable to minimize operational impact on daily scheduling.
