The Kentucky Horse Park’s 70-acre pastoral setting is the venue for a new world class equestrian indoor arena, the design of which will focus on The Horse. The Arena is completely conditioned for the comfort of event participants and spectator alike. The Arena encompasses the amenities necessary for all types of equestrian events and features an event floor size of 135’ x 300’, with attached warm-up & staging areas, and an adjacent stable area to allow for convenient and safe event access.  Service, access and support facilities will be provided to enhance the competition and spectator experience.  The site is arranged to separate spectator and horse related functions and services, for the ease and access of spectators and the safety of the horses.

The Arena will feature 5,700 fixed stadium seats with backs (200 of which are luxury box seats), all with unobstructed views.  Facilities for closed circuit and broadcast television will be incorporated, as will lighting, electrical, and computer services for the Press and broadcast of the related events.  Other amenities will include catered food services, concessions, and varied exhibition areas for specialty meeting and convention spaces.  Convenient restrooms, observation views, spacious gathering areas, and proper appointments will be provided to facilitate the participants’ experience as they celebrate the Horse in Kentucky.  The multipurpose facility will also be used as an excellent venue for small concerts, trade shows, conventions and other events.
