GBBN Architects and Miller Valentine Group worked together to develop the UC Physicians Linear Accelerator. Design of the building allows for future growth for a Cancer Center and provides physical connections and program functioning to the adjacent medical office buildings. The design 7,000 sq.ft. Linear Accelerator includes the following program elements: a 6MV radiation vault with maze entrance, a second vault for future 18MV equipment , nurse workroom, patient and public toilets, housekeeping closet, clean and soiled utility rooms, patient holding rooms, two exam rooms, public waiting for 6-8 people, Oncologist office, Physicist office, reception and a patient record area.
