St. Ursula Academy professes to, prepare women for a changing world, while at the same time teaching traditional values. One of the things changed was approximately 30,000 square feet of the main campus. This space became the new Margaret Unnewehr Schott Hall, named for the former Cincinnati Reds owner and philanthropist.
The new building includes new classrooms; science labs for biology, chemistry and physics; a suite of music rooms including an orchestra room, a choral room, two sectional rooms and several practice rooms and a maintenance facility.
GBBN Architects presented a modern design for the all-girls school, while maintaining a respect for the historical Victorian nature of the existing late 1800s facilities and the adjacent historical neighborhood in which it is located. The plans also included the integration of outdoor spaces allowing for further development as the need arises.
