Newport-on-the-Levee is a 10-acre entertainment district located on the Ohio River in Newport, Kentucky. Phase I of this development is GBBN's 100,000-square-foot Oceanic Adventures Aquarium. GBBN is project architect for Phases II and III of the district including a 2,000-car parking garage, 20-screen cineplex, cybertainment, restaurants and other entertainment attractions. Located on Newport's Historic River Walk between the L&N and Taylor Southgate bridges, it has become a catalyst for the renaissance in Newport by the City and by other private developers. Adjacent to this area is the new Millennium Tower and park, hotel/office development, and multiple streetscape improvements for festival and public gathering spaces.
