GBBN Architects renovated this 1920's six-story industrial infill that once housed a manufacturing and storage facility. The building with its unusually small floorplans of 18 ft. X 94ft, made it undesirable for commercial use. The innovative and creative thinkers at GBBN Architects realized its unique appropriateness for urban lofts.

The renovations retained the existing floor plan and window openings with the intent on being respectful to the original building. The building houses now houses five market-rate condominiums (one unit per floor) with secured and structural parking at the base. The plan was designed to allow maximum flexibility for contemporary urban lifestyles (totally open loft living to a two bedroom/two bath unit). Additional elements to enhance and compliment the functionality include a rooftop terrace to shared by owners, individual exterior decks, and a private auto court.

The renovation of this gateway building presents a fresh, contemporary image as one enters the city from the north. The building is also a towering landmark seen from many vantage points complimenting the Verdin Bell complex and spurring additional redevelopment in adjacent buildings.
