The La Salle High School Science, Library and Chapel Wing is a three-story, 24,000 square foot addition to a parochial boys high school. The addition, designed to be a contemporary response to the original 1960s building, contains six science rooms, two general classrooms, a large library or media center and a chapel. The classrooms and media center are wired for extensive state-of-the-art audio-visual and computer communications. The chapel is positioned at the center or heart of the school and has a tower with a lighted cross that can be seen from the surrounding area. The chapel, which is large enough to hold an entire class or one quarter of the student body, has flexible seating as well as stained glass windows from the old chapel and new stained glass designed specifically for the new chapel.
