Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia has experienced a dramatic transformation in the past decade from being exclusively a ski resort to becoming a year-round resort destination. GBBN, teamed with Soaring Eagle Development LLC,  and worked on the 200,000 square foot condominium lodge on four acres of mountain top property.

The project is designed in two phases.  Phase 1 is 67 units consisting of studio, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom properties. Construction was complete for the 2006/2007 ski season.  Phase 2 consists of 64 units of studios through 4 bedrooms. Construction is scheduled for completion for the 2008/2009 ski season. Every window will have a majestic view of the  surrounding slopes and trails from the 4,800 ft. summit above sea level.  Inspired by the great mountain lodges of the Adirondacks, the Soaring Eagle Lodge includes a restaurant, ski rental, and amenity features such as a grand hearth room, outdoor hot tubs, fire pit, lawn, and a heated parking structure, all atop a mountain ridge.  When the guests decide to venture from the lodge, they can step over the threshold and ski directly to the slopes or mountain bike into the trails.
