Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center / Renovation & Expansion

Founded in 1922, the Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center offers classes and cultural activities for children and adults. They serve approximately 2,700 students from in the Tristate each year. The center is set on a 3.5-acre campus in Covington, Kentucky and includes two mansions, a 1920s auditorium, and studio space.

Baker Hunt is embarking on a $2.5M expansion and renovation and has selected GBBN as their design partner. The project includes renovating four existing buildings within the campus as well as creating a new modern glass-walled pavilion structure for activities and events. Some of the renovations include accessibility and safety upgrades, combining classroom space to make the campus more functional, adding administration spaces, and making a new front entrance to allow the center to be more accessible from Greenup Street.
