Miami University / East Quad Residence Hall Renovations & Symmes Dining
Location: Oxford, Ohio
Scope: Full Architectural Services
Size: 206,000 SF Renovation
GBBN worked with Miami University to renovate five dorms on the East Quad of campus into updated,student-focused residence halls as well as designing a new dining hall building for this side of campus.
Located in Oxford, Ohio, the University is a picturesque campus that is recognizable by its red brick, Neo-Georgian Architectural style. GBBN’s research in generational impacts on interior spaces made for a very compelling partnership with the University to update and bring relevance to these older, traditional buildings as well as to provide the needed blend of history, tradition, and generational relevance to a
new building on campus. GBBN provided a solution that integrated Miami’s traditional architectural style with modern design features that create a responsive and engaging social experience for current and future students.
