Fifth Floor Fit-Out
This $4 Million 18,000 sf In-Patient Fit-out design build project consists of 29 family centered care rooms including zones for the patient, family and caregiver along with a respite area for family members and guests. Modular headwalls and footwalls are being considered for the patient rooms to enable future flexibility. Uniquely designed entry alcoves were incorporated into each patient room, creating privacy for the patient from the main corridor, but allowing visibility from the nurses’ station. The newly designed team center / nurses’ station creates an open and inviting environment.

OB Upgrade / NICU Expansion
GBBN is working with Mercy Hospital on a $3.5 Million renovation to their 17,000 SF OB Department. The renovation includes an expanded NICU, upgraded Csectionrooms, and an upgraded Labor & Delivery room. The renovation will convert an open bay NICU to nine private rooms with one designed for twins. All rooms will be visible from the centrally located nursing station. The renovation also includes a surgery suite with two upgraded operating rooms and a sterile corridor. The design team maximized the use of daylighting throughout the public areas and staff zones.
