CCHMC Family Pet Center Wins National AIA Healthcare Award

The Cincinnati Children's Family Pet Center has been awarded a National AIA/AAH Design Award by the American Institute of Architects. The project will be recognized at the AIA National Convention and Expo in Chicago in late June and will then be part of a traveling exhibit over the coming year.

The Family Pet Center, made possible by Cincinnati Children's, CancerFree KIDS and Impact 100, is one of the first of its kind. The new facility allows patients who are spending a long period of time in the hospital to be reunited with their own pets, recognizing that time spent with a pet can be very therapeutic and assist in the child's healing process.
