Merit Award for Cincinnati Union Terminal from Engineering News-Record

Engineering News-Record (ENR) has recognized our work on Cincinnati’s Union Terminal with a Merit Award. Every year, ENR Midwest recognizes work that advances design and construction throughout the region.

This National Historic Landmark and beloved community icon been restored back to its original 1933 condition— including extensive work on its famous fountain. The museum-going experience has also been re-imagined, making it easier for visitors to choose how to move through the space and engage with exhibits. We enlisted preservation architect John G. Waite Associates to help us carefully preserve Cincinnati Union Terminal’s past, and meticulously repair exterior and interior structural damage. The renovation also includes all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and data systems. Union Terminal’s museum spaces were able to remain open during much of the work thanks to the temporary entrance we designed.
