SCUP 2018: Planning The Future Through A Small Library Project
Anne Chen, AIA, LEED AP presented at the Society of College and University Planners (SCUP) 2018 Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, where she discussed how Carnegie Mellon University used a small project to help them envision the future of their library system:
“Through a small, low budget, high impact, and quick construction project, Carnegie Mellon University is beginning to reimagine larger university library systems, spaces, and facilities. Universities must consider investment in facilities and alignment with future services as they age beyond their existing systems. Small projects illustrate investment and impact before executing a project system wide.”
Anne presented along with Keith Webster the Dean of University of Libraries at Carnegie Mellon University, Rebecca Culyba, Director, Office of the Provost at Carnegie Mellon University, and Jennifer McDowell, Principal Project Manager in the Campus Design and Facility Development department at Carnegie Mellon University.
