AIA Pittsburgh Recognizes Phyllis Kim as Emerging Leader

Phyllis Kim has been selected for AIA Pittsburgh’s Leadership Institute for Emerging Professionals. The Leadership Institute is an eight-month program that seeks “to grow the leadership capacity of architects who are dedicated to positive change on an individual, firm, and community level” through a series of workshops cultivating leadership skills and awareness of issues facing the profession.

Citing her contributions to the Design Issues Series (a yearly, collaborative exhibition between GBBN’s 3 US offices), her work organizing charrettes and Design Happy Hours, and her organization of Pittsburgh’s EDGE Gallery, GBBN Associate Principal Amanda Markovic, says, “Phyllis is not only sought after by her colleagues for her interest in human-centered design solutions, but her leadership has contributed to a design-focused culture within GBBN.”
