Anne Chen En Pointe

En Pointe magazine recently sat down with GBBN Principal Anne Chen to talk about her journey to becoming an architect and the power of design to shape the future.

“Between the changes in diversity, technology, and globalized communications, we’re in a moment where I think we have an advantage not to be burdened by twenty years of the same type of project,” Anne tells En Pointe. “David Adjaye made a statement that I completely agree with: architecture really should be about the world we want to live in, not the world we currently live in.”

Anne also touches on some of the projects that are helping to empower people and shape the future of Pittsburgh, including the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Knoxville and Gateway Light Rail Station. The full interview is now online and available here.
