Obsessed with anticipating the future and learning from the past to optimize the present, Anne is inspired by resourceful and imaginative pioneers, from Jonas Salk to Madeleine L’Engel to Malcolm Gladwell. Anne’s work crosses all markets and building typologies including academic, workplace, community, and cultural projects. Known for her ability to connect vision, space, and experience, Anne has led transformative projects for the University of Pittsburgh’s Hillman Library, Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati, Willkommen, and Contemporary Craft. Her curiosity for making and desire to utilize and promote current technologies have led to the integration of digital and off-site fabrication methods into the firm’s work. Anne co-leads GBBN’s annual Design Expedition (DX) trips exploring architecture and design. She also oversees GBBN’s Pittsburgh office.
