AIA, LEED AP

Associate

Spencer has always loved building and making things. Whether he’s restoring a vintage British sports car, building his own plane (a Kitfox IV—and yeah, he flew it!) or working on buildings like the Duke Energy Convention Center, his projects deliver singular experiences. Spencer brings clear communication, focus, and goal-oriented leadership to his work at GBBN. And even though he’s sold the plane, you can still spot him flying through the streets of Cincinnati in his 1966 Austin Healey.

"While owning a restaurant in Columbus, Indiana, we had the privilege of hiring an architect for the building renovation. We completed the construction work ourselves, along with my former employer, and the contractor, which inspired me to consider architecture. While living in Columbus I began visiting the famous structures on the Architectural Tour and found that I did indeed want to study to become an Architect." - Spencer Johnson
