A New Arrival Experience at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital
Established medical campuses gain complexity as they grow. We’re helping TriHealth leverage existing space and enhance the arrival experience at the front door of their Bethesda North campus. As the final phase of a multi-year masterplan, the newly renovated entry at Bethesda North Hospital marks a major milestone in the health system’s campus transformation. The new arrival experience welcomes patients and visitors, and staff into a calm, bright, uplifting space that offers daylit places to work or wait. The space is also the beginning of more intuitive navigation to clinical spaces.
The renovated entry includes a two-story atrium, with plenty of windows, a canopy protecting an expanded patient drop-off, and better connection to registration. It also directly connects to the recently renovated cardiac catheterization lab and cardiovascular ICU. The renovation makes amenities like the Nourish Café, Joseph Beth Bookstore & Gift Shop, outpatient pharmacy, and a multi-faith chapel straightforward to find. The space incorporates warm materials, curved edges, soft lighting, and comfortable seating to reduce stress and support well-being.
“The lobby isn’t just aesthetically beautiful, it helps move people to their destination,” said TriHealth CEO Mark Clement at the ribbon cutting. “We are the heart hospital. Now we have exceptional facilities to accommodate our excellent program.”
