Angela Mazzi and Ben Earls Featured in Healthcare Design Magazine
GBBN’s Ben Earls and Angela Mazzi shared their insights on working with Cincinnati Children’s to address a rise in pediatric behavioral health services in the February 2018 issue of Healthcare Design magazine. Among the insights they share is how to use open day rooms to serve different patient needs.
As Angela tells Healthcare Design, giving patients choices about socialization versus alone time can be beneficial. She notes that at Cincinnati Children’s, curved alcoves were incorporated within the large open day room to “give people the opportunity to occupy the edges and have a little bit more distance from the heat of all the activity.”
