GBBN’s latest healthcare project broke ground in Simpsonville, South Carolina last week. The new medical campus for Bon Secours includes imaging, retail pharmacy, lab, phlebotomy, a community room, and clinical office space for orthopedics, cardiology, OB/GYN, behavioral health, and primary care services.

GBBN’s design team worked with Bon Secours to develop departmental planning templates for this project that will help standardize care delivery, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance patient and staff wellness. The templates are repeatable and scalable for use throughout the Bon Secours healthcare system.

“We fully implemented remote Zoom meetings for the design phase of this project, and it went very smoothly,” says Mickey LeRoy, part of the design team working on the project. “We’re excited to be working in a new part of the country and building relationships there.”

Construction is expected to be completed in 2022.
