In the News: A New J on the Way

The Jewish Community Center of Louisville (JCC) kicked off their “Our Community, Our Future” capital campaign last week, bringing them one step closer to realizing their goal: to create a new center that will better serve current and future generations of Louisvillians.

“We love (the current building)” JCC President and Chief Executive Sara Klein Wagner tells Insider Louisville. “It’s time for a replacement that’s more flexible, meets modern standards, and allows people to easily find what they’re looking for, from early childhood education to indoor aquatics, or the theater and café”

Design continues through August, with a groundbreaking expected by the end of the year. GBBN Principal Jason Groneck, part of the design team working on the project, says the design will not only enhance the JCC’s existing services with features like an indoor pool and an expanded Early Childhood Education Center, but it aims to do so while “reflecting the essence of Jewish culture and values into programming that’s opening… [and] welcoming to anyone.”
