$5M in State Historic Tax Credits for PNC Tower Transformation

The PNC Tower (also known as the Union Central Life Insurance Co. Building, the Fourth & Vine Tower, or Central Trust Tower) has been awarded $5 million dollars in Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits. We’re working with City Club Apartments to turn the building into a mixed-use property with 260 residences, of which 10% will qualify as affordable housing.

Like our Court & Walnut project, the PNC Tower transformation will breathe new life into another quadrant of Cincinnati’s central business district by bringing new residents downtown. Vibrant neighborhoods bring people together. The ability to walk out your front door and already be somewhere makes city living energizing.

Connecting to the past while creating a building’s bold future is a strategy we’ve deployed across projects at varying scales, from Cincinnati’s Union Terminal, to the Oak Building at Penn State University, to academic and public libraries in our communities.

We’re also experienced partners when it comes to pursuing historic and other tax credit funding mechanisms that help move projects forward. Read how we’ve helped our clients here.
