Action Housing Cuts Ribbon on Affordable, ADA Accessible Units
Action Housing recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of the final phase of renovation at Stanton Highland Apartments.
A collaborative effort with the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary aimed at creating affordable housing opportunities, the fully completed project provides 54 units (across three buildings) of affordable housing for former foster youth and individuals requiring ADA accessibility.
The final phase features a new elevator that provides access to 10 ADA accessible units and the addition of a new community room that takes advantage of an underutilized courtyard. The community room offers residents a light, bright place to gather.
Says Lena Andrews, CEO of Action Housing, “The completion of this final phase at Stanton Highland Apartments represents more than renovated buildings—it reflects our commitment to building inclusive, supportive housing for all members of our community.”
