Christopher Yost Joins Board of KMAC

GBBN Associate Christopher Yost was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of KMAC (the Kentucky Museum of Art & Craft).

Located in Louisville’s Museum Row, KMAC is an American Alliance of Museums-accredited contemporary art museum that uses exhibitions, outreach, collaborations, and its permanent collection to connect people to art and creative practices. Providing a bridge between regional traditions and contemporary conversations about art’s role in society, KMAC seeks to foster local talent while connecting to national and international art movements.

Christopher is drawn to KMAC because of its scale and community-orientation. “It reminds me of some of the arts nonprofits I worked with when I lived in New York City,” he says, “It’s not a tiny gallery, but it’s also not a large institution. That tends to make it easier to connect to the community.”

“I’m looking forward to learning how I can help bolster KMAC’s outreach efforts,” Christopher says, “especially, its efforts to connect to Louisville’s underserved communities.”
