St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky Breaks Ground on New Headquarters

St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky (SVdP NKY) recently broke ground on a new headquarters and community outreach building in Erlanger, Kentucky marking a major step forward for an organization that has served neighbors in need for more than 100 years. The nonprofit currently provides emergency help through 14 assistance programs and reached nearly 60,000 people last year alone. Their Hands of Hope Capital Campaign was designed to help meet an increasing demand for outreach, support, and assistance while reminding people that no one is ever alone in their time of suffering.

Their new 46,000-square-foot facility will be located on Crescent Springs Road, within a mile of the organization’s current site and near a high density of need. The project will include an expanded food pantry, a teaching kitchen, a multipurpose community room, retail and warehouse expansion, and a chapel open to the public. The building will also feature improved parking, better traffic flow, a separate donation drop-off area, and separate entrances for outreach and retail.

The building’s pre-engineered metal system will help speed construction, which is expected to be complete in 2027. Using this system also gets SVdP NKY the maximum amount of space using the minimum amount of steel.

“Instead of walking through a busy thrift store, a neighbor seeing assistance will enter through a dedicated entrance designed specifically for them,” says Dawn Groneck, St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky President. “They will be welcomed into a calm, inviting space where they can share their story with dignity and connect directly with the support they need.”
