A hotel bridge as spectacular as the river it crosses creates an unforgettable experience at a unique mountain resort in China.

The Purple Jade resort spans both banks of Yanji’s Erdaobai River, which is fed by a spectacular caldera high in the Changbai Mountains. On one side is a hotel and conference center. On the other a series of larger guest villas.

To enhance their guests’ proximity to the river—which steams dramatically in the winter—a 150-foot, column free bridge spans the river and houses the restaurant.

The bridge also afforded an opportunity to let the general public access the beauty of this famous, though previously, hidden river.
