JOY Exhibit Completes Circuit
GBBN’s Design Issues Series (DIS) JOY exhibit recently wrapped up a tour of Louisville, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, and Cincinnati—the cities where GBBN’s US offices are located.
Mixing both high- and low-tech creative pursuits to encourage joy, the exhibits featured hands-on making like printing and collaging, interactive augmented reality activities, and displays of employees’ personal objects of joy. While the exact form of the exhibit varied with each location, each event prompted interesting conversations about design, joy, making, and the built environment while creating openings for future collaborations.
As (DIS) Core Team member Susannah Odlaug reflected after our Minneapolis event, “We threw open the doors and welcomed a stream of curious, joyful guests to celebrate the culmination of our DIS exploration around joy. The event wasn’t just an exhibit but a living expression of our culture, creativity, and connection.”
