Descended from a builder and a teacher, Claire grew up with a passion for making things by hand and sharing knowledge. A sustainability advocate (she is Passive House certified) and a strong visual storyteller, Claire specializes in creating strategies and tools to increase efficiency, improve team collaboration, and progress design. Her most recent projects include the Rush County Community Center and The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati. Outside the office you’ll likely find Claire riding her mountain bike, making collages, or hiking with her rescue dog Rosie.

Claire Shafer Named to Cincy LEAD’s Inaugural Class
"During a workshop in Oregon, I learned about a variety of different natural building techniques, including natural plastering with natural dyes that we applied with our hands. This workshop helped me reconnect with the playful spirit of architecture school that I loved so much. A strong sense of belonging is created by handcrafting these beautiful structures in collaboration with community and nature." - Claire Shafer
