Katie Coulson

NCIDQ

An early fascination with studying people and societies led Katie to interior design; she wanted to actively create environments, not just observe them. That generative instinct pays off in her knack for turning design ideas into built realities, whether it’s an arts venue or corporate offices. She resists the status quo in projects and in life, where you’ll often find her working side-by-side with her father on Habitat for Humanity homes.

“This picture was taken from a ruin at the Annaberg sugar plantation in St John, USVI. I loved that this tree was growing someplace where it wasn’t supposed to be.” – Katie Coulson
