Chas Wiederhold

Associate

Chas is passionate about public space, the natural environment, and places where people gather. He thinks about how a building tells a story about a time, a place, and a people and how great architecture can inspire a sense of purpose. Recent examples of how this perspective plays out in his work are Willkommen and Ronald McDonald House Charities, Dayton. A natural collaborator, Chas is active in several GBBN initiatives, including our Sustainability Action Network, our DIS: Environmental Justice Symposium, and volunteering with DesignLab.

"Rock House is a natural cave exposed on a cliff face in Hocking Hills State Park. I return to this place as many seasons as I can to reconnect with the natural forces at play around me and to remind myself of the great big ecosystem of which I am a part." - Chas Wiederhold
