Liza Cruze

RA

Guided by a concern with history, materials, and a building’s responsiveness to its physical and social context, Liza has spent decades unearthing the hidden gems of Pittsburgh’s built environment. Supplementing her architectural experience with the eye of an industrial designer and hand of craftsperson, Liza delves into the project’s details to discover unexpected ways of cultivating comfort, belonging, and wonder. Outside the office, Liza enjoys collaborating with her architect-turned-builder husband in bringing old buildings back to life (and doing most of the work themselves).
