Mileek Williams

It was at the beginning of high school when Mileek found architecture. As part of an introductory Engineering course, he used Sketchup to design a house, and it just “clicked.” His long-standing love of drawing fused with an emerging interest in the built environment, and he knew what he wanted to do. Working in all phases of the design process, Mileek loves to see projects move from concept to rendering, construction drawings to built reality. A basketball fanatic, when not immersed in design, you’ll likely find Mileek playing or watching it.

Museum “I really like capturing moments of design inspiration through photography. This is an image of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, which embodies references to the Benin shrines of West Africa along with African American craftsmanship in details like its aluminum lattice envelope.” - Mileek Williams
